Complete Guide to 2026 WATERBOMB — K-Pop Water Gun Festival Schedule, Tickets, and Booking Guide for Foreigners

In midsummer, K-Pop and hip-hop stages unfold as artists on stage and tens of thousands of spectators spray water at each other. WATERBOMB, which began in 2015 and is held every summer, is Korea's largest 'water gun + music' festival. It has also expanded overseas to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore, making it the most well-known 'K-Summer Festival' among foreigners. Every year, which K-Pop stars will take the stage becomes a hot topic among fans worldwide, and many people travel to Korea from overseas to see these performances. This page summarizes the 2026 schedule, tickets, and booking/entry conditions that foreigners must know in one place. (If you're curious about other representative summer festivals in Korea, it's also good to check out the most famous one for foreigners, Boryeong Mud Festival.)

⚠️ 3 Things Foreigners Must Know First

  1. Admission only for those aged 19 or older — Based on Seoul 2026, entry is allowed for those born on or before December 31, 2007. Minors are not permitted.
  2. ID (Passport) required for entry — Mobile QR ticket + ID verification. Foreigners must bring their passport.
  3. Korean ticketing sites require identity verification, which creates a barrier for foreigners. → Refer to 'Foreigner Booking Method' below.

2026 Schedule (by City)

| City | Date | Venue | Notes | |---|---|---|---| | Seoul | July 24 (Fri) ~ 26 (Sun), 3 days | Goyang KINTEX Outdoor Exhibition Center 2 | Officially Confirmed | | Busan | August 8 (Sat) | To be announced | Date confirmed, venue unannounced | | Sokcho | August 22 (Sat) (Expected) | Hanwha Resort Seorak (Reported) | Not included in official first announcement — Verify before visiting |

⚠️ Only Seoul is officially confirmed (date and venue). Busan's date is confirmed, but the venue is unannounced, and Sokcho has only been mentioned in comprehensive guide reports, so it's not yet officially confirmed. We recommend checking the [WATERBOMB official channels] for final confirmation before visiting.

Lineup — "Announcements in Progress" is Key

The Seoul lineup has been sequentially announced in several rounds since its initial release in February 2026. As of June 2026, girl group H1-KEY and RIIZE have been announced as additional performers, and WATERBOMB regular artists such as Jay Park, BIBI, J.Y. Park, Sunmi, and Zico are being mentioned.

📌 Caution: The specific dates on which artists perform (daily allocation) vary by source, and WATERBOMB has continuously hinted at further announcements. Therefore, do not assume a specific artist will perform on a specific date. If there's an artist you want to see, be sure to directly check the official announcements and the lineup by session on the ticketing sites. The Busan and Sokcho lineups have not yet been fully announced.

Tickets — Price, Booking Sites, Format

  • Regular price approx. ₩165,000 (Varies by session/team, when limited quantities sell out, subsequent sessions open at a higher price).
  • Early bird tickets (approx. ₩88,000) are already sold out.
  • Mobile QR ticket (no physical ticket). The QR link is usually sent about 10 days before the event.
  • Domestic booking sites: Ticketlink, Melon Ticket, Naver, NOL ticket, 29CM, etc. Date and team (Green/Yellow) selection method.

Foreigner Booking Method (Important)

Korean booking sites often require mobile phone identity verification, which can be a hurdle for foreigners. Foreigners should prioritize English global booking channels.

  • Queen's Smile (퀸즈스마일) — Mentioned as an official global booking site for WATERBOMB, with English support.
  • NOL World (English page) — Allows checking and purchasing sessions/tickets in English.
  • Tip: These channels also have limited quantities per session, so it's safest to wait for the opening time.

How to Get There — Foreigner Transportation Guide

  • Seoul (Goyang KINTEX): WATERBOMB announced that it will operate approximately 15 shuttle bus routes in the Seoul/Gyeonggi area and secure large parking lots at KINTEX. For subway, it's near Daehwa Station (Line 3) or KINTEX Station (GTX-A). Foreigners can check shuttle and subway routes in advance using Naver Map or KakaoMap apps. Public transport and shuttles are recommended over private cars.
  • Busan: Travel by Busan Metropolitan Subway or bus. From outside the city, arrive at Busan Station by KTX, then use connecting transport. (Reconfirm after venue announcement)
  • Sokcho: Take an express bus to Sokcho from Seoul Dongseoul Terminal or Express Bus Terminal. It's good to combine it with Seoraksan and Sokcho Beach for a one-night trip. (If confirmed)

Tips & Must-Haves (For First-Timers)

WATERBOMB is a 'water-splashing' festival, so satisfaction varies greatly depending on what you bring.

  • Waterproof pack is essential — Keep your phone, cards, passport, and power bank in a neck-strap waterproof pack. To prevent loss or water damage.
  • Water gun — Can be purchased on-site, but bringing one in advance saves time in line.
  • Aqua shoes or sandals recommended (barefoot/sneakers not recommended). Bring extra clothes and a towel.
  • Waterproof sunscreen — Midsummer strong sun, beware of sunburn.
  • The front standing zone experiences strong water blasts and heat. Choose your zone based on stamina and preference.
  • Minimize valuables. Rain and refund policies are not officially announced, so check official announcements as the event approaches.

Background & Context

WATERBOMB first launched in Seoul in 2015 and has grown in scale every year, expanding to various domestic cities starting with Busan in 2018, and also overseas. With its unique concept combining water blasts and live performances, it has become a leading 'K-Summer Festival', and WATERBOMB stages are so renowned that performance videos go viral every year, earning them the nickname 'fancam holy land'. Whether your goal is music or water play, satisfaction is high, making it a strong option for foreign travelers visiting Korea in the summer.
