TUIDE Seoyeon Profile: TWICE Jihyo’s Sister and the Group's 'Sparkling Soda' Member

Seoyeon was the first member of TUIDE to gain widespread public recognition even before her debut. When her debut was announced in August 2026, news broke that she is the younger sister of TWICE's Jihyo, drawing immense spotlight to the entire group. She was born on March 4, 2008.

Advice from Her Sister

With the older sister being a flagship girl group member at JYP Entertainment and the younger sister debuting under a HYBE-affiliated label, having sisters debut in girl groups across rival powerhouse agencies sparked massive buzz well before Seoyeon's debut.

During her showcase, Seoyeon shared the advice she received from her sister: "You will see your members more often than your own family, so trust and rely on each other, become each other's pillar of support, and make wonderful memories promoting together." Jihyo's support went far beyond words. She was among the senior artists who posted a 'SUN KISS' challenge video right after TUIDE's debut, and clips of her visiting the venue in person to cheer on her sister's debut stage quickly spread online.

The Group's 'Sparkling Soda'

Seoyeon summed up her role in the team with a single metaphor at the showcase: "I want to play the role of a sparkling soda. People around me often tell me that I'm very expressive. I want to enrich our team's performance with a refreshing, fizzy charm."

Rather than rigid knife-like synchronization, TUIDE's choreography emphasizes individual gestures, making members who stand out with facial expressions and subtle hand movements truly shine. This is precisely where Seoyeon's expressive talent comes to the forefront.

On Teamwork: The ELLE Interview

In an interview for the September cover story of ELLE, Seoyeon described the chemistry among the members: "We have an incredible bond where we deeply trust and draw strength from each other. Sometimes, just a glance is enough to know what we need to do." Her words directly echo her sister's advice to be a solid pillar of support for one another.

Other Idols Named Seoyeon

'Seoyeon' is a relatively common name among idols. Search results often overlap with fromis_9's Lee Seoyeon. When searching for the TUIDE member, using "TUIDE Seoyeon" or "TUIDE SEOYEON" will yield the most accurate results.
