TUIDE Seohee Profile | The Eldest Member Who Introduced the Group, First Post-Debut Birthday on Oct 11

Seohee is the eldest member of TUIDE. Born on October 11, 2006, she debuted on August 24, 2026, with the group's first mini-album 'TUNE & PLAY' alongside six younger members born between 2008 and 2011. At their debut showcase, it was Seohee who took the mic to explain the meaning of their name and introduce the group.

Seohee at a Glance

Her birth date is based on cross-referenced fan profiles and press reports rather than an officially released agency profile. Her first birthday after debut coincides with the music show promotion week for the B-side track "Echo." Member Saki's birthday falls on October 9 of the same week, making it back-to-back celebrations just two days apart.

The Voice Behind the Group's Name

The name TUIDE combines "Tune," meaning to adjust the flow, with "Tide," signifying the ebb and flow of the ocean. At the showcase, Seohee explained the name as "a commitment to carving out our own distinct rhythm and flow." When asked to describe the group in a single word, she chose "Vivid," adding, "Rather than forcing our individuality into a single mold, we are a group that brings out each member's unique color while blending together in harmony."

She kept her personal introduction brief: "I'm nervous yet thrilled to finally show TUIDE to the world. I'm in charge of clear, unique vocals and clean dance lines."

Leader or Eldest Member?

While some international sources list Seohee as the leader, TUIDE does not have an official leader. This is known to be the first group created by master producer Han Sung-soo to debut without a designated leader. Seohee does not hold the official title of leader; instead, as the eldest, she steps forward to introduce the group and speak on their behalf. This is why search results for "TUIDE leader" often point to Seohee.

Special MC Just Three Weeks After Debut

On September 12, 2026, just three weeks into her debut, Seohee served as a special MC on MBC's Show! Music Core alongside members Jia and Seah. The trio hosted segments introducing other artists' dance challenges and also took the stage to perform their title track, "SUN KISS." Following the broadcast, they shared their thoughts: "It was an absolute honor to be here as special MCs, and it made for an unforgettable day. We'd love to come back again soon."

Aspirations Shared in ELLE

In the ELLE September issue cover interview released the day after their debut, Seohee answered what kind of artist she aspires to be: "An artist who doesn't just cross your mind momentarily, but someone whose music you actively seek out and listen to again." In other words, she hopes to create songs that listeners return to over and over, rather than tunes that quickly fade away.
